The Handfix Traumec Rigid Fixation System was developed for rigid internal fixation in fractures for mini and micro fragments, providing stabilization and fixation of bone fragments. Plates and screws are available in various models and sizes, allowing the surgeon to choose the most appropriate option according to the different anatomical structures, as well as having screw interchangeability across all systems.

FEATURES AND BENEFITS
- Screws with TORX self-tapping engagement in locking and cortical versions, manufactured in Titanium Alloy Ti6Al4V ASTM F136;
- Low-profile plates made of Pure Titanium Grade 2 (ASTM F67), with angled locking hole providing better stability between plate, screw, and bone.
- Rounded edges: minimizes irritation of soft tissues;
- Oblong holes: allows controlled compression and provides flexibility during installation.
- Plate threads: helps preserve periosteal blood supply.
INDICATIONS
- Compression fractures of the distal interphalangeal joint;
- Re-fixation of the distal phalanx in cases of extensor tendon extraction with bone involvement;
- Fractures of the middle and distal phalanges;
- Fractures of the phalanges of metacarpals and carpal bones;
- Arthrodesis of metacarpophalangeal and interphalangeal joints;
- Fractures with comminution areas, osteotomies, and arthrodeses.
